Aloooha everyone! This summer has flown by and fall is gonna be a buzzzzy one…. here is a quick sneak peek of one of my senior sessions, just wanted to show you a few of my faves. If your a 2012 Senior and want to book your session with me please contact me sooner than later!! Sessions are filling up fast for this fall & winter already!
I always have fun photographing seniors, and they seem to love their sessions, but this particular session was just particularly special because this island beauty was the flower girl in my wedding. This girl is something extra special to me, as she was one of the first kids in my life…pre kids. Now she is all grown up! It’s probably her warm smile and sweet heart that I love most….but her beauty, goes beyond her looks. She was a bit shy during her session and not herself as she is rarely all dressed up….but man didn’t she look amazing!!? Here’s to your senior year K! You got this kid!
Ok to be honest, I love trash the dress sessions!!!! It’s a super fun way to get some really relaxed images without the time constraints of your wedding day! It’s so fun to just have fun with your dress and hey the waters warm here…so why not dip in!
I photographed Jeff & Tamah a few days before for their beautiful intimate island wedding. Tamah & Jeff had so much fun and were overwhelmed by the beauty that the north shore of Kauai held they wanted more images. So they scheduled a day after session where they cut loose and got wet! How fun is that!

Jeff & Tamah were such a fun, super energetic couple! Their love for each other was contagious!! Tamah was a fun loving, 3rd grade teacher whom, I hit it off with instantly at our first meeting. Since I used to teach myself and since my daughter was going into 3rd grade we just connected on so many levels! I kinda wish she would just pack her bags and move to Kauai just to teach my daughter! But so far I haven’t been so lucky! Jeff was so fun too, many guys don’t really get into the picture taking and are ready for it to be over before it begins. Not Jeff, he was enthusiastic and ready to strike a pose any which way with his new beautiful wife!
They chose the most intimate wedding location for their ceremony at the National Tropical Botanical Gardens on the south shore of Kauai. Being an avid gardner, a botanist by hobby, and a lover of botanical photography, I was super excited about the picture taking opportunities the Gardens had to offer. I am sure you will agree they did a great job picking the botanical gardens for their intimate destination island wedding!
We had a lot of laughs, a lot of rainbows and a lot of fun!
Congrats Jeff & Tamah on finally making it official after all these years! May you enjoy each others company for many more years to come!
It’s always so much fun to photograph your friends! This shoot was extra special because I love this family…in many ways they are my family! Although we are not blood related, these guys are always there for us when we need and I was so excited when Jes asked me to photograph them.
I stumbled upon this location while on a walk with my daughter, I said to her “oh man…I want to do a boy shoot here!” I loved all the old bottles and vintage boxes and frames…if you just looked around props are everywhere I didn’t need much but my imagination on this shoot! Thanks guys for letting me do something a little different in a dusty location not everyone would be eager to use. Enjoy!

Nesbitt, was an old soda made in Lihue, Kauai back in the day…kinda cool to stumble upon this little slice of Kauai history.

…and the lived happily ever after…The End!
Thanks for stopping by…ALOHA! Michelle
